Product Description Getting online with Pay As You Go Mobile Broadband is easy. Just buy a top-up from 3, convert it to the add-on of your choice, and you can surf the net almost anywhere.
The E1550 is a 3.6Mbps wireless data modem with Plug'n'Play functionality. The Connection Manager is auto installed when the modem is connected to the computer for the first time.
E1550 supports all major operating systems including Windows Vista and Mac OSX. The leach attached to the cap minimises the risk of losing the cap. The USB cable, included in the box, can be used to improved performance in areas with bad network coverage.

| Customer Reviews: frustration! July 6, 2010 GJ why oh why do companies release productions that haven't been properly tested? this piece of junk has never worked properly for me. it constantly disconnects, taking several attempts to reconnect. the slightest bit of rain or wind and it doesn't work at all. coverage should hardly be a problem since i live in London!
do yourself a favour and do not buy this!
If you own a Mac running Snow Leopard, just don't bother March 15, 2010 S. J. Mitchell (Surrey, UK) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I am struggling to express my frustration with this lump of plastic. I bought it having been advised that it was Mac compatible. Only it isn't. I have spent hour after hour after hour searching the internet for drivers (something I haven't done since my Windows days), reading forums and playing around with settings and all to no avail so far. 3 are useless, Huawei are even worse and there is no support from either of them except denial that there is a problem. Obviously they haven't read the shedloads of messages on the internet from frustrated users.
So whatever you do, if you would like to actually get onto the internet, don't buy this. If you want to get rid of your spare £40, just set fire to it, it's easier and more satisfying. By the way, Amazon won't let me give it no stars, I certainly wouldn't have awarded it any given the option.
Poor. January 18, 2010 Mike Stevenson 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Very disappointed. The device connects perhaps 1 time out of 6, and when it does connect more often than not it's EDGE and not HSDPA. After perhaps 30 minutes so it disconnects, and it takes anything up to 30 minutes of fiddling about to reconnect it. Where do I live you say? London - Zone 1. So there's absolutely no excuse for this poor coverage. Recommend you avoid and look at other providers. I'll give Orange a try.
