This is a good little radio, it's lightweight, easy to tune and nice to look at. As other reviewers have said it does lose it's reception at times but I guess I was expecting that on a train journey in Scotland. For the most part the sound is good and clear and the reception is fine. It arrived quickly as did the batteries that I bought as part of the package (they are the correct ones now...one of the previous reviewers got the wrong ones). It only takes one battery so these will last for ages.

Bought this as a birthday birthday present for my husband, and he is delighted with it, he uses it when he is in the garden, previously he had a small portable but the he had to keep moving it when he moved around the garden, also is not heard by neighbours, he loves to listen to the afternoon play on radio 4. Preset stations a must, reception great, and just fits into pocket. Have recommended this to a friend who goes in to hospital for day treatments. The Roberts Sports 995 FM radio is a nice little unit good features and easy tuning, I understand that the battery life is very good. The ear phones provided are ok but not good so I use my Klipsch ones and it sounds much better.
I was expecting good things from this little radio that fits well into a pocket, FM radio reception is good in my area and the tuning devise is great but found that it could only find a few channels. Radio 2,3 and 4 it had great difficult in locating and there was a continual hiss on these channels Classic FM faded in and out. Changing back to the supplied earphones made no difference. I could get better reception when I held the radio out in front of me but moving around or just moving my head either lost reception or back with the hiss.
It is a great pity but I am going to return it to Amazon and try another make I am not going for a DAB as I understand that they are battery hungry.

Have previously had Sony AM/FM but this is far superior. Only had it for just over a month, using rechargable batteries and use it for approx 6 or 7 hours a day, and getting lots of life from the batteries.
Headphones are great. Good reception too, also sound quality is excellent.
Can't praise this radio highly enough, have even recommended it to my sister, who is now the proud owner of one too!
