Product Description
If you're looking for stand-out style without compromising on usability, you'll appreciate the LG Chocolate KG800 Features: Size94 x 44 x 15 mm and 84g CameraYes MP3 RintonesYes MessagingSMS, EMS, MMS, Email Tri-BandYes BluetoothYes JavaYes The LG KG800 mobile phone is better known to many people as the Chocolate phone. Don't bother looking for any hidden meaning - quite simply, it's bar-shaped and the best-selling version in South Korea is a dark brown chocolate colour! And the LG KG800 certainly is a best-seller in its home country. It's become a favourite phone for the rich and famous, appearing in the hand (and pocket) of top celebs. Why? Well, the phone cleverly blends modern styling with useful features. When the slide-up design is closed, you'll notice a high-quality display screen and a handful of touch-sensitive keys for controlling essential functions. They glow red when they're being used and fade into the background when they're not needed. Slide the phone open and there's a standard keypad, along with a wealth of useful functions including an alarm clock, calendar, calculator, photo editor and games. The LG KG800 is also an MP3 player, with 128MB of memory providing plenty of storage space. In addition, the back of the phone contains a 1.3 megapixel camera for photos and videos. All this and Bluetooth connectivity as well. If you're looking for stand-out style without compromising on usability, you'll appreciate the LG Chocolate KG800. It certainly is a tasty little camera phone! In the Box Handset Battery AC Adaptor CD / Manual

3 out of 5 stars A good first mobile maybe?   May 3, 2009

When i got this phone januay 2009 on orange i was amazed by it's cool sleek design, the camara was good enough and it was easy to call and take calls not to mention text people but there are slight bad points for this phone you can't get music of discs onto it it doesn't seem to play and no sound came out so i bought a couple of songs off amazon mp3 and they worked fine, the sound wasn't very loud and it certinly isn't a phone 4 u if you want a music phone as for the video recorder the sound was rubbish but it was a good enough picture so overaly this is a good phone with a basic camara and mp3 player but the touch buttons can get seriously annoying it has a good web browser and (1) game!! so if this is a first phone i recomend u get it and it is good for the money but a bit overpriced on amazon i got it for £24.00 new from carphone warehouse...

although after a while it did start freezing for no reason so we took it back to carphone warehouse for repair i don't no if it was just my phone or something the whole range of lg chocolates do.. :(

1 out of 5 stars LG Chocolate, the WORST ever phone ever had!!!   March 17, 2009

2 out of 2 found this review helpful

Oh, how much I wanted this phone! I paid an arm and a leg to get it a couple of years ago. And a kidney, for travelling expense! (sorry review is so late)
Although definitely the best looking phone I ever had, it is undoubtedly the worst gadget! (like the reference to Blondes being beautiful but stupid!)
I will not go much into detail:
-Texting is awful experience with this phone, I text very fast and I cannot begin to tell you just how much this phone frustrated me.
-Touch Pad is so awful too, so sensitive that you spend 5 min just to read a small text message. Don't get me started about having to do anything on your phone, you need to take a day off to get it right!!
-Ring tones you can barely hear, and all vibrating in the world wont save it!
-If you take a picture in full resolution but want to send it in a text, don't bother, because it WONT send such big pic! You need to set a much lower resolution for it, so don't believe their specifications because they are just fooling you
-Screen and body scratches so ugly at every drop, I mean they cant expect us NOT to drop the phone every now and again. It shortly started to look like a sorry scruffy thing.

I was so unhappy with this product I still want to scream, even though it has been a long time since I stopped using it.
Don't buy it!

1 out of 5 stars Do not buy this phone   March 5, 2009
J. J. Davies (Bucks uk)
Despite the poor reviews, i allowed my daughter persuade me to buy this phone. It stopped working properly soon after. Thats when the problems started. 3 months later, I still have no idea what is happening. The customer service department at LG does nt care at all. They make and break promises. They refuse to reply to emails and palm you off over the phone. It took 2 months for them to send me a bag to send the phone off in.
Please learn from my mistake and NEVER buy anything from LG. This is the only negative review I have ever written
